Mastering the art of lifestyle in home sessions
The Embodied Artist’s newest workshop; Mastering the art of the lifestyle in home sessions.
What we will be covering…..
We will explore the art of capturing authentic moments that tell the story of everyday life
You'll learn to work through the challenge of shooting in unfamiliar locations confidently and easily, and discover how to create images that resonate with your heart and values.
We’ll explore techniques for guiding our subjects to create authentic emotions and connections. We will work to teach you how to create images that resonate with meaning.
Throughout the workshop, we'll also focus on incorporating personal touches from the home, adding depth and character to your storytelling.
You’ll gain insights into working with various lighting situations to enhance your art and creative process.
You’ll learn to look at someone else’s environment through their eyes and find the beauty in the little things that tell their story.
We'll discuss how to guide sessions naturally, allowing moments and connections to unfold without pressure on you or your clients.
You’ll learn in a group setting but have a one-on-one experience with each lifestyle session we will have available to you during the workshop.
You’ll learn from others, inspire each other and grow in a way that will fuel the rest of your shoots moving forward.

details of the workshop:
one full-day workshop in Toronto with Scarlet O’Neill X Theresa Ouimet
three separate lifestyle sessions throughout the workshop
the opportunity to create portfolio content, or use the sessions to truly experiment, or both
working hands-on, one-on-one with Scarlet X Theresa during the sessions where you’ll be encouraged to go deep in creating images, unlike the ones you regularly create.
after each session, there will be a review to discuss the pros, cons, and other things that came up during the session so that you can learn how to work through that experience if you ever encounter it again or how to recreate something but go even further or get more creative
think of this like your very own coaching session to provide a crash course in shooting in various conditions with various people, but working through any hiccup, being inspired all throughout and then walking away with a new sense of self when it comes to photographing in peoples homes during any season, or time of day.
a little bit more:
lunch & dinner provided during the day
the workshop will end with a soundbath & journaling session before dinner where each person is welcome to stay and connect with the rest of those attending
when: February 21st, 2025
where: Toronto; a home in the Dundas & Ossington area.
